Consider Plans For Tourisi Bureau Al Head's Comer

At a. meeting of the council of the Summerside Board of Trade held on ‘Thursday evening in the town hall, the council approved in principle a plan to erect r. tourist information bureau at Reed's Corner. The tourist com- mittee was requested to submit plans and an estimate of the cost of erecting such a structure at the next regular meeting of the board to be held on May 5th.

The transportation committee was requested to prepare s. sub- mission to the Associated Boards of ‘Trade in the Province at a meeting to be held in May in con- nection with a brief to be pre- sented for submission to the Fed- eral ‘Transportation Commission, which hos .been appointed to investigate the freight rate struct- ure. The doom occurred early lost ovenhig at her home in Summer- side of Mrs. ‘Arthur H. Carney st the age of 46 years. She had been in poor health for s. number of years but her condition had be- come more serious about two weeks ago. She was the former Florence Kenny, daughter of Mr. Claude T. Kenny. Sr.. of Summerside and the late Mrs. Kenny. Besides her husband and father she is survived by a daughter. Frances, Mrs. John Cozens, who is living in England, and one son.‘ Windsor, at home. She is also survived by two bro- thers, Cyril end Claude, Jr.. in Summerside, and one sister, Miss Blanche Kenny in Toronto.

The late Mrs. Corney had been a. ‘very active member of Trinity United Church and had taken an important part in the activities of the Ladies’ Club. In spite of her long illness her death came as a shock‘ to her many friends who knew her as a. person of worm sympathies and deep friendship. -

Her body is resting at the Comp- ton Funeral Home where a private service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m.—S
