Mr. MacNutt, who is a native of this City, the son of Major T. E. and Mrs. Maohlutt, is one of Can- ada's foremost organists. He is I composer of choir numbers and has also written a number of songs of which the best known is "Take Me To A Green Isle". Mr. MaoNutt went to Prince of Wales College and later attended the Toronto Conservatory of Music where he studied under Dr. Healey Wlllam. who is considered the most out- standing organist in Canada.

During his four years stay in Windsor Mr. MnoNutt directed the Windsor Singers who are heard frequently on CBC broadcasts from coast to coast. of interest to Char- lottetown listeners, will be the fact that the Windsor Singers under the direction of Mr. MacNult will be featured on the CBC Christ- mas broadcast which will be heard

Studio. ' Santa Claus delved deep into his bag of toys and good things to eat yesterday afternoon when he handed out presents to 34 boys and girls ranging from three to 1'! years of age who came from the P.E.I. Protestant Orphanage to meet him at the Odd Fellows Hall.

The Ohristmas tree and upper party for the children was ar- ranged through the Joint efforts of the Odd Fellows and Rebskahs of the city who aipo provided transportation from and to the Orphanage.

The young guests were greeted on arrival by Grand Master 0. F. Kennan who was followed by Mrs. Ruby Houle, C.D.A., a former President of the Orphanage Aux- iliary. who expressed her pleasure at being present and read for the children a. delightful short story titled "The Little Fir Tree."
