The first article of this first number deals with the knottiest of knotty questions “ The Liquor Problem in Charlottetown.” The idea is advanced * that in Charlotte- town liquor Only be sold by the %overn- ment.” “Two factors,” the writer says, “seem to be of prime im ports auce: eliminating the moaey element from the traffic, and providiag a substitute for the ssloon.” The article is practically suggestive, and worthy the attention of the rrovineial Goversment as wellas of the civic authorities and thepublic at

New York. March, 8.—An employe of the Lexington Avenue cable power house received aod survived an electric shock of 2000 volts yesterday.
His body, was burned black from head to foot, every stitch of clothing was torn from him and he fell senseless though a bole instrntaneonsly burned ia the floor by the terrific electrical power.
