There's an old adage ab- out preaching to the alrea— dy converted being a waste of time. We assume that writ- ing‘about a football game, seen by every reader who mi— ght persue this, is also pretty ridiculous.

However, for the record,

or those few and unfortun- ate students who might have missed all the excitement at MacAdam Field last Saturday afternoon, we are pleased to report that our Panthers made it three in a row by 'outscoring a hitherto un- beaten Mount Allison team (thatinever stopped trying) by a 19—13 score. (Lest we forget it a first prize for something or other should go to scribe Bob Gray who went out on a limb and said "Panthers by 6!!!!". The game was played in'a driv- ing rain that made the ball hard to handle and, from a spectator standpoint hard to follow with certainty about who did what. The contest followed, quite closely, the same hair- raising sequence of the two previous wins..i.e. Our good guys got behind at first and it seemed that the bad guYs would walk off

with a Win but then our heroes caught up and went ahead...then a series of misadventures made it look as though the villains were' going to win,..but just when all appeared to be lost some outstanding and admirable and exemplary character like Tom Corcor—

game ended in a blaze of glory for us. It was just like that in all three games....we would hate to suggest to Coach Hilton that he vary the script

The whole team played well and it Would be hard to pick a star but we would like to remark that Grant Canvin's record of 11 successful passes out of 18 attempts would be a reasonably good perform- ance on an average day... under the conditions pre— vailing it was\phenomenal. we'd also like to compli— ment Mike Read who, several times,.looked like short—

,We feel it most fitting, in telling about the game, to mention the Pig 'N,I Whistle which was held directly following. It was really hillarious....WAS EVERYBODY HAPPY????..THEY SURE WERE...even Earl was jovial...like the 19th hoka in golf the game was even better in the telling.

We feel we should also tell about the unpleasantness that STARTED to happen just as the game ended. In con—
