IN PURSUANCE OF THE ACT

of the General Assembly of this Island, made and passed in the Eleventh year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Fourth, entitled “An Act for raising a fund by an Assessment on Land,~for erecting a Govern- ment House and other Public Buildings within this Island." [do hereby publicly notify the Owners, Proprietors, or Occupiers of Lands within this Island, for which the Annual As- sessment charged thereon by the said Act, of Two Shillings lawful money of this Island, for every hundred acres contained in the several Townships thereof, and in the several Islands belonging thereto, and the sum of Two Shil- lings for every Town Lot, Pasture Lot, Com- monLot, and Water Lot, granted in the Town and Royalty of Charlotte-Town; and the sum of one Shilling and Four-pence for every Town Lot, Pasture Lot, Common Lot, and Wa- ter Lot, in the Towns and Royalties of George- Town and Prince Town, is payable, that, unless the Assessment for the current year shall be paid into my hands on or before the Seven- teenth day of February next, I shall on the last day of the next HilaryTerm, (1833) Cause Pro- cla‘mation to be made, of all such lands as shall then be in arrear, for non payment ofthe sums charged thereon, agreeably to the directions of the said Act.
