The late Mrs. Ms.cPherson was a woman of quiet disposition and one who took an active interest in Church and school affairs. Her home was ever open to assist in the social welfare of the oom- munity.

She leaves to mourn their loss four daughters, Mrs. Geo. Vioker- son and Mrs. A. B. Bsgriall of Charlottetown , Mrs. Amoid Lar- son, Colifornla and Mrs. R. L. Getty, Trinidad, and one son. Cai- vln ;ca: Toronto. Another son John and daughter Janie pre- deceased her.

The funeral service was conduct- ed by her minister. Rev. A. F. Maclsean, Trinity Church, before a large number of friends and re- latives who gathered to pay their last tribute of respect. six nep- hews tenderly laid her to rest be- side her husband in the family

COUNTY COURT - Judge C. St Clair Trainer gave Judgment Thursday in two cases at the end of argument by plaintiffs coun- sel Mr. J. E. Ivan Trainor. The parties in both cases were Laura Boylan, plaintiff and Edward Mc- Quaid, defendant. The Court's ruling was that no rent was ow- ing to the plaintiff but that as there had been no surrender of the premises at 13'! Dorchester Street the defendant was liable for 319.20 frost damages to the plumbing. Mr. Allison M. Gillls had previously been heard for the defendant.

Drama Festival Executive Meeting

A meeting of the Drama Festival executive was held on April 9, at the Oharlaottelown Hotel with the

president, Mrs. Fred Gates, pre- siding. There was a good attendance

and reports of the various com- mittees were given.

Miss Estelle Bowness, ooiivener of Junior Drama, stated that all plays will be adjudicated before the end of April, and that all those who have not sent in their entries must do so imiinediately.

Miss Fraser reported that en- tries for the Senior Drama Fes- tival were received from the fol- lowing centres: Charlottetown, Tig- nish, Central Bedeque, Indian River, St. Peter's Bay, Emerald, Kelvin Grove and North Tr-yon. Tentative dates were set for the presentation of these plays and it was decided necessary to reserve four nights during the latter part of May for the finals which would be presented in Charlottetown.

After much discussion re the pur- chasing of pennants which will be presented this year to all schools particivpating in Junior Drama. it was moved and seconded that Mrs. Prank Ross be authorised to pur- chase one hundred small pen- nants and a sufficient number of large pennants.

It was also moved and seconded that the Scholarship Trust Fund be transferred to the P. E. I. Dra- ma. Festival Fund, and that the treasurer and pi8SId0.I10 would be the signing officers for this fund.
