MILES IDEAL

The beautiful society drama,“Why Did He Do It ?” was presented last even'ng by the Miles Ideal Stock Company. ‘The play Was puton ia an excellent manner and the various characters were well sus‘ained. The part of “Lysander Lyons,” M. D., a young man witha lively imagination, was cleverly taken by Mr. Miles, and he was ably supported by Mr. Butler, Mr. Bliss, Mr. Culhane, Mise Hyland and the others in the cast. The play abounds in amus- log sttaations and ranks with the best seen in Charlottetown for some time. Between the acts the usual vaudeville bi!) was pre sented, in the course of which Master Paul Brady gave a very artistic remale imper~ This (Thursday) afternoon there is 4 matinee performance, “Under the British Flag,” the company’s openlog suc- cess, being toe bill. To-night “Fritz in To-morrow night *“Dam<a and Pythia-” will be played for the benefit of the P. E. Island Hospi- tal, and on Saturday night “New Mexico” wil] be put upon the boards tor the benefit of the Crescent Cycling Club. Allare good plays and they will be cleverly produced.
