V. This Act shall continue in force so long as the said recited Act of the Twenty-seventh V'ctoria, Chapter ’l‘hirty-seven shall be in‘l‘orce and operation, and no longer.

Assessment.

I IIEREAS it is expedient that the pro- " visions of the Act. of the 'l‘vventy-ninth Victoria, Chapter twenty-three, intituled “ An Act to exempt property belonging to Iler I" ajesty or the Govermnent of this Island from duties or assessments,” be extended to property belonging to any department of the Imperial Government. Be it therefore enacted by the Lieutenant Governor, Council and Assembly, as follows 2——

I. The several provisions of the said recited Act, and every clause matter and thing therein contained, shall be extended to and be held and constitute to extend to any property whatever, real or personal, belonging to any department or service of the Imperial Government, in the same Way and manner as if the same were parti« cularly mentioned in the said recited Act.
