ENVIRONMENTAL CALENDAR

Feb. 25: Andrew MacDonald, an award winning Island wood carver, will conduct an Island Nature Trust workshop on carving wildlife figures and decoys. The workshop will include a brief slide show, demonstrations of carving techniques, and a display of work Andrew has prepared for a large show in Toronto. The workshop starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Farm Centre.

Mar. 13: The NHS's normal meeting night at the Farm Centre was already booked by a farm group so we've had to move to the second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Gerald MacDougall of the Fish and Wildlife Division will speak and show slides on the Eagles of Prince Edward Island.

Mar. 14: Dan McAskill of the Department of Energy and Forestry will present a workshop on transplanting trees and shrubs for wildlife. This workshop, which will feature slides, overheads, and hands-on diSplays to demonstrate the techniques, is sponsored by the Island Nature Trust. .

Apr. 3: Mr. Brian Hearn will provide an illustrated presentation to the Society on the Caribou of Newfoundland. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

Apr. 3: Please clean off those great slides you have and make sure you submit them to Wendell MacKay by this date for the Society's competition.

Apr. 26: Pierre-Yves Daoust will be the Island Nature Trust's guest speaker at the Farm Centre. He will provide a talk on the effects of the environment on wildlife health.

May 1: The Society's Annual Slide Show will be featured at the Farm Centre. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m.
