BAD ACCIDENT AVERTED —- What might have been a bad ac- cident was averted by the skiliul driving oi Wyman Large, I. M. T. bus driver, shortly ufter midnight yesterday morning on the Mal- peque Road. ._ IIOME FROM OVERSEAS — Among those who arrived from overseas on Saturday evening was Sgt. Major Harry Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Bishop. Sum- merside. Sgt. Major Bishop was a member of the Prince Edward Is- land Highlanders at the outbreak of war and responded when his unit was called up. He spent over four Years overseas and saw a lot action. He was wounded in the leg in the North African campaign and was invalided back to England. He recovered in time for the in- vaslon of France and was one of the first to land on the beaches on D-Day. W. S. God- frey. BA, of Sackville. N. B. Rev. R. D. MacLean, B.D.. of Montague presented six certificates to his class in "The Life of Jesus Christ." In the course, "Music and Art for Young People" given by Rev. LM. Murray, 13.13., of Kensington, seven certificates were given.
