At Fox Bay codfishing poor, but squid plentiful, Que- bee codfisbing good at Sheldrake, Hunter River, St. John River, Migpie and Long Fair at Perce, Giand River and Newport Point, but poor at all other sta-

tions. Launce good at Seven Islands, Moisie, Sheldrake, Thunder River and Long Point. A_ fair catch of herring at

Cape Breton—As far as reperted fish is very duli. Phe best reports codfishing fair, when bait is obtainable.

Nova Scotia—VJodfishing reported fair at Whitehead, Spry Bay and Digby; good in- shore at Lunenburg, a tew herring at White- head and Lanenburg, a fair haul of cod at Arichat; afew cod, haddock, mackerel and squid and Ingonish, and about half a quintal ot cod per boat at Louisburg. The Victoria arrived at St Peter’s from Eastern banks with eighty quintals, and fair catches at Tuskell River and Digby. Small mackerel reported taking hooks treely at Tusket River; fair catches at Digby and seining quite lively in St Mary’s Bay. The dogfish have left the Bay of Fundy, and at Digby the hake and haddock fisheries are again very good. Bait squid plentiful at Fox Bay and Anticosti; fair at Perce and Newport Point, Quebec and Spry Bay, NS.
