In a letter to Dr. Ozmon, Dean of Arts, Dr. Dasgupta Chariman of the Sociology and Anthropology Deptments seemed that-the deScription were necessary due to the course descriptions being written 5 or 6 years age, by Professors who were
~not with the Dept. now.
Sociology 252 will be changed in course number and description to 311, while Anthropology 412 shall be changed to 383, entitled Folklore and
[Cultural Character.
Although, changed in both number and description these courses shall re- main basically same. Sociology 272 crosslist*

in the next year. Th Senate defeated the, motion that Business Adminstration 201—202,
,and 301—302 be changed
to two one full year courses 200 and 300‘ respectively the‘reason this was defeated was that the University of P.E.I. were trying to keep a semesterized system. The Chairman
of Senate Pres. R, Baker although not present at the Senate Meeting, had
a motion of reconsideration to be passed. Mr Baker's recomendation was that
-for reconsideration of a
motion within a twelve month period, Senate would have to have the approval 0 of twenty members present. In a 24 Calendar month period, 18 members, and
16 members in a 36 month period. It was noted that this recomendation tied the hands of Senate some- what in that there were only 25 members_of Senate who actually were active, or attended the Meetings.
The motion was therefore amended,to having 18, I
16, and 14 members pre— se—t in the same period
of time for approval
of a motion of recon- sideration. The amend— ment was approved. The next Meetinf of Senate shall be Feb.3/77.
