Recently s. resident of a. small community in Illinois was driven, by his appetite for liquor, to an untimely death. He had been drink-

in a tavern in a town where there was but one tavern. When the tavern owner refused to sell him more liquor, bees/use he had had enough, he became very angry and declared he knew where he ld get more liquor: he "just bed have another drink."

U. give to the Tem- perance Federation and Alliances through their churches, where a Ipecisi Field Day or Campaign is put on for the work of the Feder- ntion or Alliance. No church takes 11p a collection for the W. C. T. U. and our work lags for lock of funds.

The Union members as individu- als mnke gifts to worthy objects but all funds oi‘ the W. C. T. U. as an organization should be given K01’ W. C. T. U. work.

We need organizers, field sec- rctarics, in the provinces and in the Dominion. Our Frances Willard londoivmcni. Fund needs money for ihe upkeep of Headquarters and nf tho Literature Depository.

WMZS. money is in trust for missionary work. W. C. T. U. funds are trust funds for W C. T. U. work alone but we all as Christ- ians should support good causes by our gifts through other channels.
