Melt butter in large sauce- n. Add mushrooms and fry gently until tender. Blend in flour. Very gradually stir milk, cream and consomme. Cook over low heat. stirr i n g constantly. until smoothly thic- kened. Add cheese and stir until melted. Season with pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Serve over green vege- tables or cauliflower.
