Chappell will lecture on the above subject to-morrow evening. have read a good deal about British Colum- bia as a desirable place for emigration, and with many other P. E. Islanders 1 am thinking of casting in my lot with the peo- ple of that far off Province. 1 shall be glad to hear the opinion of one who has been over the ground, and shall be guided a good deal by what the lecturer will have to say on this very important subject.

yRTING SHESP AND SWtNeE.—Messrs walter McFate and David McBrine returned from P. E. Island last vight, having succeeded in purchasing some fine pigs and sheep for the Loch Lomona Agrieultural Society. Their purchase for the society comprised three Lei- cester, Shropabire and Southdown sheep, and three Berkshire and White Chester pigs. Mr, McFate bought four Shropshire ews on his own account, and Mr. McBrine invested in a ood Barksh resow. Competent judges on the Dena pronounce the sheep to be among the very best ever exportel. The Loch Lomond Society is to be congratulated on its efforts iv this direction.—St, John Sun.
