I managed to get my hands on some confidential information...the intramural awards. Yes, the eagerly awaited all star results are in:

A League first team all-stars: Doug Newson, Billy Keaveny, Keith (gymrat) Little, Jason Kiley, and John (take a rest) Brady

A league second team all-stars: Ben Merserau, Dale (tender ankles)Conroy, Bruce Allen, Peter McKinnon, Brent Byres

B-League first team all stars: Andrew Breau, Brad King, Matt (Punchy) McQuaid, Dale Conroy, Bruce Allen

B-League Second team all-stars: Keith Little, Shawn Axeworthy, Mark MacDougal, Todd Gaudin, John Brady

MVP A-league: Pete Richard (26 points per game)

MVP B-league: Ryan Dickieson

Most Three pointers in a regular season B-league game: Kris Saunders Most three pointers in playoff B-league game: 10, by Shaun Axeworthy Most Points in an A-league game: 57, by Pete Richard

Most points in a B-League game: 50, by Dale Conroy

Now, to finish the year off I'd like to give out a few awards of my own:

Most sportsmanlike Conduct: tie between Robin Walsh (aka ratboy) and Cory Frizzel

Nicest basketball shoes: Matt (punchy) McQuaid

Prettiest Haircut: Sarto Hickey

Best Imported Player: Neb (the Croatian sensation)

Most attempted three point shots (17): Kris (I’m not afraid to shoot) Saunders

Best public relations: Berzerkers

Most rests in an intramural game (23, even while he was playing): John Brady

Loudest player: Ben Merserau

Most Humiliating defeat: Ratboys loss to a four man Berzerker squad

Second Most Humiliating defeat: Da Bills loss to the Berzerkers by 45

Best haircut and attendence award: Jesse Norcott

Largest intramural player: Duncan Shaw

Favourite organizer: Trish Little

Best hanging layup: Brian Cameron

Most attentive ref: Greg Lucas

Most punctual Ref: Billy Keaveny

Most like Michael Jordan award: Craig Knickle

Best Team: Berzerkers

Most repetitive trashtalker: Gigolo Joe Sullivan, “I out rebounded you McQueen blah, blah...”

Just a word of thanks to all those who participated in intramurals, it was fun. Thanks to Trish, Holly and the refs for making the league work this year too. I guess this is the last installment from this guy for the season/year.....over and out.
