Mr. Guthrie had delivered "what is now regarded as the best deliverance on conservative policy since Sir Arthur Meighenh time." After Mr. Irvine, Labor, whose speeches are oi the academic labor character, there followed a character- istic speech by Tommy Church, Tor- onto, Mr. Baldwin, Staustead, Gen- eral Ross of Kingston. This after- noon the Hon. Mr. Munich took up the burden of the song and in a rat- tling speech denounced most things Liberal and especially the Liberal fiscal policy.

Max Hubert started to walk down the road, and had taken only a few steps when half a doaen wolves jumped up from where they had been lying and ran down the road. The three young people went to the home of Dan Bisedcw, near by, who came out with a gun and dis- charged several shots, without, how- ever hitting any of the wolves, which ran up and down the road.
