NHS CRESTS in the design of our logo have been received. In colours of gold, blue and white, they will be attractive on any jacket. The price is $3.50 each.

FIELD TRIP. October 9 (Saturday) there will be a walk to enjoy the autumn foliage at Riverdale. We leave the YMCA corner at IO a.m. Be prepared to tote your lunch. In case of rain the walk will be postponed to the following Saturday.

MEMBERSHIP has reached l03, paid-up. Several persons have not paid the l976 dues yet. For these, a reminder is enclosed in this newsletter.

Measuring Worms Make it to Charlottetown

While walking through a Charlottetown square on September l3, I noticed a twig “walking” along the pavement. There didn't seem to be sufficient breeze to cause this movement so the twig was investigated. Upon close scrutiny, the twig

suddenly became a “worm”. This worm was greyish-brown in color with reddish-brown subtly blending in on the upper surface. It also had white lenticels and would you believe it, simulated leaf-scars? I had stumbled upon a measuring worm
