I have, therefore, thought ﬁt, by and with the advice of Her Majesty’s Executive Council of this Island, to issue this Proclama- tion, hereby requiring and Commanding all Ofﬁcers, Civil and Military, in this Government, to continue in the regular and due execution of the Duties and l’owcrs of their respective Otliccs.

And I do further require and command all and singular Her Majesty's Oﬂicers, Ministers, and loving subjects of this Island, and all others whom it may concern, to take due notice hereof, and to give their ready obedience accordingly.

SACKVILLE, Aug. 15, 8 p. m.

The Steamship “ Moravian,” at Farther Point, Saturday, brought news of the “ Great Eastern.” Cable gave out on the 2nd. When “ China.” left on 5th, communication had not been re-cstablished. To-day we get dates from Heart‘s Content, Newfoundland, to the 14th. Schooner arrived there. Saw “ Great Eastern” and “ Terrible” on the 6th. They told Schooner that Cable parted on the 2nd. Schooner saw a beacon buoy put down to show where they lost it.
