The Keir Memorial Church was generously remembered at. the Christmas season on the arrival of a church bell from London. England-the gift of, M; wane; Owen. Mnlpeque. It is a gift well worthy of the gift giving season and is one that will add greatly to the solemnity and sanctity of any service. Wheatley River United Church Sunday School gave a very enter- taining Christmas concert 1n the hall Dec. 28rd. The hall was crowd- ed and good order win maintained throughout the lenghty Program which was well canted out. The ticket price was twenty-five cents and the sale of home made candy held at the o- nclusion of the pr0g-. ramme swelled the proceeds to over thirty five dollars. which went tq further the work of the Sunday School. Rev. Mr. Boothroyd was . chairman and Mrs. Chester Rack- ham was organist for the evening. A Christmas tree was held and thl hall decorated with Chiistmas dec- orations. A small present for each school child and also one for those responsible for the entertainment was on the tree. Santa Claus to the delight of the children handed out the presents.
