Two boys named John Henry Matheson and Henry Morris, aged respectively 12 and 13 years, were drowned in a brook at Port- land, N.b., on Thursday, They both jump- e1 into the brook together, and the water was at the time much deeper than they anticipat- ed, and they were drowned before assistance could reach them.

We direct attention to the advertisement, in another column, of the Methodist Sabbath School Picnic, to be held at Shaw’s Wharf, on Wednesday next.
