NSSIIOWER AT BRl'DI-SNELL - On Monday evening, Mr. and Mrs.. Emerson O'Connor. were tender- ed a shower by their many friends at the home of Mrs. OiConnor'g lather Mr. Simon Nicholson. Bru- dcnell. Mr. and Mrs. O'Connor were recently married in Mon- tague. Approximately 50 guests gathered and an evening of merri- ment was enjoyed. Some very en- joyazble instrumental music was supplied by Florence MacKinnon, Mrs. Atwood MacDonald. Thomas Cameron and Emerson O'Connor. Milton Richards. Misses Em and Bertha Buell. also Mr. O'Connor; entertained the guests with step dancing. The young couple were the recipients ot many lovely and usetul gifts. Later in the evening a delicious lunch was served by a number of the ladies. alter which the iiriends departed wish- ing the young couple many years oi wedded bliss.

widespread regret was felt by It large circle. of friends and relatives when it became known on the morning oi Oct. 25th that the Angel nt Death had visited the home oi Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald of st. Peters Bay and claimed for its victim their beloved little daugh- ter, Florence Cathrym, at the ten- der age oi three years and six months. Though never enjoying the best of health. hope for health was always held until a few clays pre- vious to her death. But. medical aid and the tender nursing oi ii devot- ed mother proved to no avail and on the above mentioned date her little body gave up the fight. for earthly existence and the tiny spirit winged its way Heaveriward tn bn again united with the Blessed Lord who said. "Suiter little children to come unto me."
She leaves to mourn heslde her srrrowing parents one little sister. Mary. Another sister. Judith Ann predeceased her two years ago. Her iuneral. which was largely at- tended was held on Friday after- noon irom st. Pet-er's Roman Cath- olic Church, the service being con- ducted by Rev. w.v. McDonald. pastor, The hearse. was driven by Nr'lSCll Squires and the pallbearers iv-ere Robert Mac-Cormac. Melvin MacLaren. Gordon Hayden amt Gerard Gallant.

Tonight the pr-ople oi Mcniaguc and vicinity will once more have the npportuniiy or RIL9llrIlll;: the nnizitrlir contest, sponsored by the Calladian Lcgloii which will be held in Yeo's Tlicatrn.
on the evening at the iormer contest which was held Nov. 2nd., the theatre was tilled to capacity. In this contest numerous contest- ants from various parts oi the province participated. The Legion is to be commended on the splendid manner in which the last contest was presented. and it is their hope that this one will be even more successful.

Successful Supper Al Church Hall
Last night the Beaver Club Hall.
I Montague, was iilled to capacity
when the ladies of St. Mary's Church sponsored and aerved in delicious chickpn and ham supper which proved to be an excellent success.
it is estimated that supper was served to approximately 350 peo- pie. The congenial atniosphere. pleasant associations. and the sump:uous supper served to wel- come the guests who attended from Montague and vicinity. and lalso iron Charlottetown.
The supper was graced by the .prescnce of His Excellency. James (Boyle. Bishop of Charlottetown. who arrived early in the evening. accompanied by Rev. P. J, Mac- Donzild. and were -welcomed by Rev. W. J. Mccardle, PP.
The tables. which were basti- iiilly dicoratcd with lovely cakes. were bouniiiully filled with ex- quisite dishes prepared by the lad- ics of the church. and during the hours of serving irom 5:00 p. m, to '7:.'ln p. m. were constantly tilled.
Diu-lng the supper a pleasant in- lerlucle or music was rendered by Mrs. Hugh Buchannim at Manc- ton. who is at present in Montague visiting Mr. and Mrs. Guy Nelson. Mrs. Bucliannan is an accomplish- ed pianist and her music was im- mt-nsely enjoyed.
Following the supper the sale nl cakes took place. auctioned by Mr. Guy Nelson, who so generously gave of his time to assist.
The sumptuous supper, combin- ed with the large attendance, con- tributed highly to the great success of the supper.
The ladies are to be commended on the splendid manner in which the evening's program was carried out. and inr the time which they spent in organizing and prcparlng this supper in order in make it such 3. success.
Thanks were extended to the ladies of thencaver Club. who so generously provided the use at their hall for the supper. as thanks were extended to all who helped to make the supper the success that it was.
