MAURICE GALLANT

The death occurred at his home

in St. Charles-on Sunday, Oct- Ober 12th, 1958, of Maurice Gal- lant in his 76th year. In his last illness Maurice was attended by his physician, Dr. MacLellan, and spiritual comfort was render- ed by his pastor, Rev. Charles Gallant and by Rev. Joseph Mac- Lead.

Born in Rustlco some 75 years ago, Maurice was soon to ac- company his family and the sev- eral other families from that area, who were to pioneer and build the section Of'- St. Charles which was formerly known as New Acadia. In his passing we mourn the further loss from the ranks of those who labored so industriously in their own inter— ests and in those of the genera- tion to follow. The homes and in- stitutions which he and they have left are sacred to their memory. r

During his early manhood, Maurice sought a livelihood in the Western U. S. A., but he was soon to return to take up farmn
