Charlottetown is now a military city, and will remain so for twelve days. The Grand Jury were discharged yester- day afiernoon. Before their discharge they brought in “true bills” against Frank Murvby iudicted on feur separate charges ot forgery. Murpny wae not preseot in court and a benca warrant was iesued for his arrest.

The Grand Jury also submitted report of their visit to the Hospital fo- the Tusane, the Poor House, Jail and Market House,—the full text of which is given elsewhere in to-day’s issue, The Chief Justice, in. acknowledging the report, complimented the Grand Jury upon the painstaking manner in which they have discharged their duties. The work accomplished by them was in the interest of the country and could not fail to domuch good. The remarks regarding the Hospita! for the lusane were of especial im portance. Although the attention of the Goverument bad been called to condition of this institution im past years nothing seems to have been done. He regretted that the court had no contro) over the Government, and was therefore unable to take action. All the court could da was to hand over the reportof the Jury to the Government: and this be instructed the clerk to do.
