Coach Jack Hynes lead the Panthers as they convincing— ly trounced the U.N.B.

Red Devils both Saturday and Sunday by scores of

7—4 and 6—2 respectively. The Panthers showed promise as they outscored and out- battled the U.N.B. team. Both games were well played and full of exitenent Ieven if, from time to time the action was marred by

an unruly few who weren't necessarily associated with either team. Generally it was the kind of hockey most fans enjoy to watch..

Saturday's game saw John Butler and Tony MacKenzie score 2 goals apiece while ' Darwin MacCatheon helped set up 3 others. On sunday's game Dave Currie got 2 goals and l assist and Terry

Ithe Panthers were all over the Red Devils. The U.N.B. team never even got on the scoreboard until Avalino Gomez's shutout was spoil— ed in the first minute of the third period.

The three Christmas recruits all figured on the scoring this weekend, and, I dare say, without than, the Panthers might have had a rougher time pulling off either win. Callie MacPhail played an exceptional game
