Now, Sir, without entering in- to the abstract question of the National Policy, I may eay that my object in rising on this occasion is to correct some errors that the hon. member for Queen’s, P. E. 1., (Mr. Davies) made on the occasion he addressed the House a few evenings ago. That hon, gentleman on that oceasion made « very remarkable speech—remarkabie for its Inaccuracies, remarkable for the way in which he compared our country with the conotries of the world, by distorting facts and figures to show that Canada occupied a very poor position #8 compared with other countries.
