oS For school dresses and country wear in the summer these girls will have serviceable dark navy blue dresses of flannel, sacking or serge, made with a full waist plaited to a high round yoke and rather wide belt. Many rows of white wool braid are parallel around the belt, high collar and on the close part of sleeves that droop ina puff from armhole to elbow. The full, straight skirt has a deep hem, with rows f braid above it. Sailor blouse suits of the cool looking blue flannel and the rather warm red will also be worn. There is to be a return to cashmere frocks for very small girls in light colors and in dark shades. For baby girls of 2 to 4 vears these are inade of pink or baby blue cashmere, all in one piece, gathered very fall around the high neck and on the shoulders; then shaped across in yoke fashion by four small shirred tucks drawn tightly half way down the armholes, the spaces between tucks »verlaid with baby ribbon of black vel- vet. The story told by Mrs. Justice Mowry of St. John, N, B.
To a reporter of a St. John paper Mrs. Justice Mowry of that city told the follow- ing story: Mrs. Morwy was for two years a horrible suiferer from chroniv indigestion. She could not sleep without the use of Her stomach was se weak she could searcely eat any kind of food with- out suifer.sng immed ate pain. Jy fact she recined to have pains and aches ail over her body, and beeame so nervously weak and prostrated that she was unable to at- tend to her household duties. She tried a great many medicines and the doctors were prescribing for her nearly all the time, but she could get no relief. Sometimes for 24 hours at the time her sufferings from cramps would be almost beyond eudurance. Many a night it was necessary to sit by her bedside aud administer dose after dose of morphine. After euch an experience she would be tho oighly exhausted and was never in good health. She could not eat or sleep, and these horrible attack: made even the dread of death seem less than the torture or living. To be sure morphine released her but the afier effects of its fre- quent use were almost as bad. Words were powerless in describing her sufferings. H-r friends feared she would die. Final- ly she told her husband to get a bottle of Hawker’s nerve and stomach tonic and she would try it instead of morphine. Now mark the result. Before she had finished the first bottle, taken in conjunction with Hawker’s liver pills, she could eat meat without discomfort, something she had been unable to do before for mouths. She only took three bottles of the ton'c alto- gether, and it completely restored her to health. Mr:. Mowry is still in splendid health, with nc return of her former troub- les, and she <tates slie has no hesitation in telling any one that these remedies have restored her from a state of horrible suff ering to perfect health.
