Tae Tcrr.—On Saturday evening at three e’clock, a match race at Upton Park between Mr. J. Dover's mare, *“‘Lady Bagnall,” and Dr. Creamer's bay horse, ‘“ ‘ampbell Bey.” The race was mile heats, best two in three, and Was easily won by the first named. We may state, in justice to ‘Campbell Boy,” that al-) though matched, he was net fit nor fitted for the race, being lame for weeks previous and during the race. He, however, showed some) very good bursts of speed. Two ‘‘seratch | races,’ and a matcli race also took place on the Park the same evening, which afforded much sport for the goodly number present.

Mr. James A. Carman, last week import- ed from Jersey, three excellent bronze turkeys at a cost of $50.. The total weight is eighty three pounds. Mr. Carman’s intention is, we learn, to improve tie breed of fowl throughout the Island. ©
