Gem goes electronic

Do you have an article or letter to the editor that you really want to send in to the NE'ITED GEM? If you do, and if you don’t want to bother walking up four flights of stairs to take the article up, then MAIL the article or file on VAX. Yes, that’s right, the NETTED GEM has a computer account. Just send your articles or letters to the editor to “GEM”

_ using the mail utility.

If your article is sent before 8:00 am. on Monday morning, and if you include your name (which doesn’t have to be printed with the article or letter) then your material could go in that Friday’s issue of the NETTED GEM.

To create the letter, use the editor or the create command on the computer. If you don’t know how to, use “HELP CREATE” and the computer will help you. When prompted for a file name, just call it “NE’I’I‘ED JOU”. When you’ve finished typing it, type “MAIL”. Next, type “SEND NETTED JOU”. Then finish it all off by responding to the “TO:" question with the word GEM. That’s all there is to it. Sound easy, try it. Remember, the deadline for submissions is Monday mornings before 8:00 am.
