Drab on THE Roap.—A valuable horse owred by Mr. Thomas Campbell, of this city, dropped dead on the roadat Brighton lastevening. Mr.aod Mrs. Campbeil and Master Arthur Campbell were in the carriage at the time returning from a visit to friends in the country. Near the resi- denee-of Hon. Mr. Peters the horse became alarmed at a passing team aod started to gallop. Mr. Campbe!! soon had the horse under control, however, and shortly before the disaster occurred he had settled down toatrot. When near the turn of the road some distance this side of Mr. Weeks’ house, the horse fel] in the shafts and died almostimmediately. The cause of death is not known. The horse was seemingly in excellent condition, and a ehort time before leaving for the city Mr. Campoel! declined th a cfter for him.
