A pretty wedding was soiemniz- ed at St. Dunsrt-anls Basilica on Wednesday, Sept. 81th. when the Rev. Patrick McMahon, D.D., un- ited in marriage Irene Eleanor, youngest diaughter of Mr. and lVIrs. William Hogan to Herman Pat- rick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith. St. Teresa's.

The bride, given in marriage by her farther, wore a floor-length gown of wlhlte brooaded taffeta. Her shoulder-length veil was held in place by a pleated net halo,

and she carried an arm bouquet of red roses. Miss Frances Peters, as brides-

maid, wore s floor lewiih gown of pink sheer, matching pink flower head-dress and long lace mittens. Sihc carried a noscgoy of pink oar- nations and mixed flowers.

Mr. Mark Smrith, brcithcr of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Mr. Richard Hogan and Mr. Gerald Nantes.

During the Nuptial Mass the soloist was Mr. Frank McIntyre, with Mrs. Joseph Dougan presid- ing at the organ.

The reception following the ceremony was held at the Queen Hotel. The toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. James Smith, brother of the groom, seminarian at Holy Heart Seminary. Halifax. Following the reception the bridal couple left for a motor trip through Nova. Scot-ta. For travel- ling the bride wore a grey tailored suit with navy accessories and a ccrsage of red roses,

On their return a reception was held at. the groom's home, St. Teresa's.
