6 cups blue grapes

2 cups water

7 cups chopped pears

6 cups sugar ‘

Wash grapes, separate skins from pulp putting them separate saucepans. Add l cup water to pulp and remaining cup to skins. Sim- mer skins and pulp separately un- til tendcr. about l5 minutes. Press the pulp through a sieve to remove seeds. Add cooked grape skins. chopped pears and sugar to the pulp and cook slowly until thick. about 45 minutes. Pour into hot sterile Jars. cool and seal with melt- e wax.
