IN pursuanec ot an Art of the General Assembly of this

Island made and passed in the Eleventh year of the reign of Her Majesty, Queen Victozia, intituled “ An Act for levying further on Assessment in all Lands in this Colony, and for the encouragement of Education;" and also an Act in amendment of the said Act. intituled “An Act to explain and amend the present Act for the Assessment of Land. and the encouragement of Education ;” and also of an Act made and passed in the twenty'fourth year of the said reign, intituled, “ An Act to raise funds for the pur- poses ot Education by imposing an additional Assessment on Land in this Island. and on real Estate in Charlotte- town and Common and Georgetown and Common.” Ido hereby give public notice that 1 have made proclamation according to the terms of the said Acts, of all the under mentioned Town L-its, Water Lots. Common Lots, Pasture Lots, Islands, Townships, or parts of Townships, in this Island, in arrear lor the non-payment of the several sums due and owing thereon to Her Majesty, under and by vir— toe of the above-mentioned Acts, viz :—

And the owners of the aforesaid Lots, parts of Lots and tracts of Lands so in arrear and proclaimed as aforesaidmrc hereby notified that in ctse the sums charged on them as aforesaid, together with the Cost-s which have been incurred. shall not be paid before the next Easter Term of the Supreme Court, which will Commence on Tuesday. the second day of May next, application will be made to the Supreme Court during the said Term for Judgment against the said Lots or tracts of Land respectively.

10 BE SOLD AT PUBLIC AUCTION, on the premises, of WEDNESDAY the Twenty-second day of limmnanr, 1865, in pursuance of a power contained in a certain Assignment, hearing date the Fifteenth day of June, A.D., 1863, made between Isaac Ilowat, of Saint Eleanor’s, in Prince County, and John 1). Reid, of the same place——

ALL and singular the right, title, and leasehold interest of the said Isaac llowat in and to five acres'of land, situate in Saint Eleanor’s, described as folloWs: Commencing at a stake fixed on Frederick Cannon's North line, running from thence along said line West thirty degrees, North live chains; thence North thirty degrees, East ten chains; thence East thirty degrees, South iivc chainsi thence South thirty degrees, \Vest ten chains, to the place 01' beginning, containing five acres of land, a little more or less, bounded on the East by reserved land for a. road twenty feet wide, so to remain. and is part of Torvnship Number seventeen, together with the buildings and appurtenances.

The above is the property whcrcon the said Isaac llowat at pre~ sent resides.

ROAD COMPENSATION ACT. PUBLIC NOTICE, "/ IIEREAS the undersigned. by Commission bearing date. the

' 3rd day of December, 1864, have been appointed to enquire what damage or advantage will accrue to the owners or on of the land through which it is intended to open a. Road Boundary line of'lfownships Nos. 2:1 and 211.

We do hereby give notice, that we will commenco the execution of said Commission. by attending on said Line, on WEDNESDAY the 8th day 01' MARCH next, at the hour of 11 o’clock, in thti forenoon, and thence proceed along the said new line of Road and gotnpllcto the said commission, in terms of the Act of 14th Vic.,
