-On Friday night. June 20, St. Mary's Parish Hall, beautifully decorated, was filled to capacity with delighted parents, relatives and friends who witnessed the Junior School closing exercises of Tlgnish Convent and Dalton School.

The July meeting of the Irish- town Womenis Institute was held at the home of Mrs. Archie Payn- ter. The meeting opened with the president in the chair. and the "Ode" and "Creed" repeated in unison. 24 members answered the roll call with 9. joke and a prize for the best Joke went to Mrs. Clayton Btayert. Two visitors were present.
Minutes of previous meeting were read. approved And signed, and the June committee reported 88.00 cleared from Lad and Lassie Pipe Band. several cases of cans were sold. .
Mrs. Ellis Profltl: gave count of the executive meeting held at her home and "Traffic Safety Week" pamphlets were dis- tributed to members. Upon motion bills were accepted and paid; these amounted to 36.00.
Sick committee reported two treats taken to sick members, and Mrs. John E. MscLeod and Mrs. Cecil Campbell thanked members for treats. The new sick commit- tee sppointed was Mrs. James Simmons, Mrs. W. L. Campbell and Mrs. Halsey Prohtt. There was no school or Red Cross report.
Plans were discussed for a lawn party and band concert at the home of Lt. Col. E. W. Johnstone, and it was also decided to make candy for the evening of Film Board films at the hall. Collec- tion was taken and amounted to
