WINNIPEG. Sept. 42 - (OP) - Rye displayed the best tone at the close today on the Winnipeg Grain Exchange oats and barley eased slightly in late trading. Flax re- mained firm.

Domestic shipper demand came out early in the trade in cats and barley. while barley also received support from exporters in connec- tion with some overnight business in this commodity to Denmark.

American demand sent. rye prices upward. Flax was mostly local' trade. Hedging sales were prominent in the December con- tracts.

There was no information av- ailable on export loadings of Can- adian ivheat. but reports said 3,- 000,000 bushels were being made avnilable to Italy.

Prices for class two wheat and I.W.A. were up one-eighth cent from yesterday.

-HURT IN ACCIDENT-Mia: Shirley Vincent. West Devon, only child of Rev. Alton and Mrs. Vin- cent. who was painfully hurt in an auto accident on Sunday. Aug. 26th on the highway near Mone- ton. arrived at. her home on Sat- uiday. Sept. nth. Miss Vincent suf- fered it partial collapsed lung and had to have twenty-six stitches on one side and many stitches on the other side. but she is improv- lng steadily. She is employed with the Telephone Company in Mono- ton. N. B. she spent eleven days in the Moncton City Hospital.

The devotional period was led by Helen Bulman. assisted by Daveda Muc- Eachern and Avis Bulman. The hymns sung were: "0 Jesus. I Have Promised" and "Take My Life And Lat It Be." The Scripture lesson was taken from Luke 18. A story. "Christ. and the Rich young Ruler" was read by Joan Large.
