accordance with parking regulations.

Security has

no wish to start towing away vehicles this early / / in the semester, but beginning MOnday, September ' 17th the unauthorized vehicles in roadway'stor in the visitor's parking lot will be removedat the OWner's

expense.

THE BOB—SHOO-—BOP REVUE America's First Live History of Rock'n'Roll

This September, the Bob— Shoo—Bop Revue will be conducting its second ’Maritime tour. This seven-piece Rock'n'Roll revue combines costumes and comedy to pay tribute to the superhits and superstars of the fifties, sixties and seventies.

While featuring many of the artists that lmdsigdficmm nmmfi on the evolution of Rock'n 'Roll such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles,

Bob Dylan, and more recently, Billy Joel, the Bob-Shoo—Bop Revue doesn't ignore those who contributed to the outrageousness that made R&R so much fun;" artists such as The Coasters, The Young, Rascals, Elton John and others.

In his review, David Gregory of Concordia University wrote, “They engulf everything entertaining about Rock'n'Roll, putting their rowdy senses of humor to - work in a mannner WniCh compliments the music.” The Montreal Gazette noted that “the imitations of rock heroes are sometimes better than the originals”, and the New York Times described the show aS' being “as visual as it is vocal, draping the audience with atmosphere of the day.’f

Originating eight years ago as an act for a college talent show, the Bob—Shoo—Bop Revue has since appeared on the same bill with Chubby Checker, Dion, Little Richard, Hall &Oates, Bruce Springsteen, has appeared live on WNBC New York, America's largest radio station, and has received favourable reviews from many publications. '

While the name is far from being legendary, the BOb-ShOOrBOp Revue has, without the aid of press agents, professional management, recording deals or marketing strategies managed to survive the intense competition in the U.S., support itself, and chalk Up, some impressive credentials, noteworthy for a non-recording act that

_ came straight from college.

And with the boom in Canada's recording and film industries

being an inevitabler prelude to a surge in Canadian live entertainment, the Bob-Shoo—Bop Revue

is ample indication that aspiring performers

who hesitate to put

their show on the

road due to lack of connections, cannot only survive, but very likely“ succeed in Canada where demand is quickly

growing and competition

so much less intense.

The Writing Lab has been set up to assist students with prbblems in writing with an

emphasis On grammatical structure , paragraphing

and expression. Faculty members may refer

students who need help, but students may also ' - enroll because they recognize their own need for assistance in writing. ' ' -\- Method: Stress is given to grammatical instruction ' and writing practice. This can be done on a one

to one basis or as a small group.
