A Cat, Accerrrep.--At the quarterly meeting of the Summerside Methodist Church, held on Monday evening last, a cordial and earnest invitation was extended to the present pastor, Rev. G. C. P. Palm- er, to remain for the year 1889-1890. The rev. gentleman accepted the invitation, subject to the approval of the Conference. This is a pleasing evidence of Mc. Palmer's popularity. From the official circular of the Boston Chamber of Commerce, December 22, we extract the following:-— Porators.—Receipts past six days, 48,- 000 bus; previous six days, 70,000 bus. The market continues about as previously reported. There is a full supply of most ali kinds offering, and there is a fair de- mand at about the range of prices quoted. Chonangoes have been coming forward more freely and at the close are selling at 58 to 60c. We quote:—
