Dear Editor:
A Red Cross Blood Do- nor Clinic was held at the UPEI Gym on Feb. 5 and 6. The objective for the cli— nic was 360 pints. I don't believe this is very much to ask from 1586 fulltime students, several hundred parttime students and fac— ulty and staff. Apparently, it was too much to ask as only 214 pints of blood we— re collected.
The turnout of faculty and staff was very poor,in fact down right disgraceful. Onlykabout 19 showed up, most of whom were staff me— mbers.
There were three acm- petitions held in conjunc- tion with this cliniczinter— residence—won by Memorial Hall,interclass-won by the Seniors,and interdepartment -won by the Biology Dept. The Biology Dept. issued a challenge to all the other departments,however,only the Home EconOmics Dept. accepted this challenge.

Under the new consti— tution,which was ratified by a general meeting of the Student Body on Feb.11,1973, the following positions will be open to contestation: President,Vice-President, Treasurer,Comptroller,Comm— unications Officer,5 Arts Representatives,3 Science Representatvies,and 1 Edu— cation Representative.
The Faculty represen— tation is determined by the enrollment figures in each faculty so that each facu— lty is represented accord- ing to the number of stud— nts registered. This is ba—~ sed on having 9 faculty

Three Senate Members will also be elected,the term of office for two me— mbers will be from March lst,1973 to Feb.27,1974. The third position is to 'fill the vaCancy created by Roger Green who has left the university. This will be in effect until Sept. 1973 when two new members will be elected to the Se— nate. These Senate members will also sit on Council as voting members.
