TIGNISH -—- Christmas was celebrated quietly in the Tig‘ nish area and took much the same pattern as the previous Christmas Eve. when high winds and drifting, clogged the
l roads. and forced many people to cancel their plans of attend- ing midnight church services and carol singing.
At St. Simon and St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church. high mass at midnight was celebrat- ed by Rev. Floyd McGaugh. Prior to the midnight mass the Ladies Choir under the direc- tion of Sister St. George sang Christmas carols. Music was rendered by Miss Jean Perry.
