Sir,—The reading room is will supplied with lealing magazines and papers, and the wonder is that so f@ take advantage of its privileges. There seems to be one omission, however, and that consists of the fact that there is but one paper on its tables from British Columbia, namely, the semi-weekly world, published at Van- couver, the organ of the Liberal party. Now, surely it would be but justice to all parties to have the other side represented by getting the British Colonist, published at Victoria, B. C., edited by Henry Law- son, @ native of this Island, and for many years editor of the Patriot,in this city. The Colonist is the organ of the Conser- vative par y of B wish Columbia, and one of the ablest writers on the Pacifle coast is its editor, whose articles in opposition to the World are of the most convincing character. It is hoped that our reading room committee will at once place the Colonist side by side with the World cn our tables in justice to all. A Scpseriper. ———
