You are notalone, lots of freshman have the same feelings during the first few months. The best thing | can suggest is to getinvolved! There are many great organizations on campus (ex: X-Press) See the vol- unteer sheet in this issue. There are also elections coming up, this is a great way to get to know people and for them to get to know you. Ifyou get involved you’ ll soon discover UPEI is not as big as it first seems.

If you meant women, learn to respect them first (you could start by dropping the ‘‘chicks’’). Then you may try getting involved in some of the activities around campus so youcan meet women with some of the same interests as yourself.

A friend of mine is dating a genuine goofball! She even plans on marrying this zero. This poor soul insists that he has redeeming qualities. I think she must have been sniffing glue to come to this conclu- sion. Please help this pityful girl.

If your friend’s boyfriend is abusive than you should — suggest she gets councelling. There are councellors in Student Services located inthe library. Itseems — though that you just have a difference of opinion ( ex. goofball, zero). You don’t say if he teats her a in | anyway. If itis just that he is not your “‘type”’

you think she shoudn’t go out with him, butt a you’re not the one dating him. If you don’t like each leave your poor friend alone. I’msure it strains both relationships if there is constant nagging for her to drop the boyfriend/friend.
