Presentation of Certificates and Prizes to the Junior Grades took place on ‘Iliursday morning with the Principal of the School, Mr. C. P. Hine presiding. A great many parents and friends turned out for this program also. ' The considerable number of lspecial prizes given at this year's ‘closing was made possible through ‘the interest and generosity of many individuals and business firms. Continued support of edu- cation in this way is greatly ap- preciated by the students and staff of the school. Such contributions go far to stimulate competition, to add interest to the work, and to compel the maximum efforts of a very large number.

"Miss Irving reached a high level of professional com- petence due to her natural, yet extraordinary fitness for teaching," said the Principal. “Her ‘self- control, patience, industry, fair- ness, sense of humour, integrity of character, and enthusiasm for her work were largely responsible for this.
