A group of the "turned on" Christians on campus, interested in studying and spread- ing Christianity, got together in forming a group of the Inter- Varsity Christian‘ Fellowship. In the beginning, the group wasn't big but word got around about the meetings and by '71 - '72 membership increased into the teens. The meetings got better.
Last year, the group met once a week to have sing songs, prayers, guest speakers and other fun things. Often the group moved out in the community to demonstrate Christianity. They sponsored a Starvathon for a Biafran aid pro- gram - "Starve a day for someone else and make money.at it."
The group also went out into the Senior Citizens' Homes and had sing songs and socials with the old people. Everyone, young and old, loved

for Wed. at 9 p.m. in the Chapel. At these meetings
there will be some sing- ing, praying and talking about Jesus Christ and Christianity. The group is planning to have some coffee shops with gospel folk music and guest speakers. Of course, there will be some community involvement - just what P.E.I. needs. Maybe a few weekend retreats will be added to flavour the bread.
The I.V.C.F. is inter-denominational and the members are real, honest-to-God Christians out to spread the Word. The group is open to anyone - even if you're already saved.
Try it - it may be your thing.

There are many things I could start my column off with, such as rat-infested Dalton Hall, the apathetic assholes who constitute the student body and leg- islators. This week I'll confine myself to taking a very mild swipe at the adminis- tration.
For instance, the business office has confirmed the rumour that the athletic fee of $20.00 is not par- tially refundable to students who attend this institution for one semester. Ten dollars, you say, so what? Just stop to think. If they are trying to screw you in a small way like this, they must be trying to screw you on a large scale too. Just ask any male resident on campus.
The student union fee is refundable. Loud hurrahs for the Student Union.

More cheering news: Medical in- surance coverage has gone up and it is also non refundable at Christmas. But if you suffer from ulcerated piles or loose hang- nails you are covered until next September. Ain't it great:
Also, whether you wish for a year book or not you must pay a $5.00 non-refundable fee for the privilege of paying for someone elses book.
Mr. Stevenson was not available at press time. We hope to be able to get through to him by next week, God and secretaries willing, to see what may be done. If nothing, then we should see what can be done through other, channels.

September 29 saw v the first Student Coun— cil Elections of the 72/73 term. Unfortun— ately, the students did not get caught up in i election spirit. If anyone complains about irresponsible represen— tatives on the Council, it is no one's fault but the students alone. There are approximately 1600 full time students registered at U.P.E I. this year. Only 23% of these students had enough energy, will pow— er or whatever it takes to walk into the Library and mark X on a ballot.
