'I‘he room was beautifully decorated with Flags, Pictures, Paintings, &c., and brilliantly lit. up Wllll gas, and was pretty well filled with the beauty and fashion of Charlottetown. His Excellency the Lieut. Governor and family, were also present. The music was very good, and the singing excellent. Much praise is due to Mr. and the Misses Duchemin, and the gentlemen ofihe band, for the very handsome manner in which the whole iilfuir was get up, as well as for the prniseworthy ob- ‘ject they had in view, as for the evening's entertain- ment eflbrded iheinhabitsnis of Charlottetown. We have spent many hours in the Teinpernnce Ilnll, listening to Lectures, and amusements of diilerent liinds.bul never did we leave the Hull so well pleased as we did at the close of the performance of last evening. The handsome new fine-toned Organ, recently built by Mr. Duchemin, added much to the appearance of the room, and was an excellent ac- companiment to the Vocal Music.
