The recital by the eminent con- cert plnalst. Malcolm Troup. on Saturday night was an outstand- ing success and a delight to all who hear him. The chapter felt priviledged to be able to bring to Summerside such a renowned and talented artist.

Friends and old neighbors in Howl of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Carr ers regret to hear on Mon- day September 24 that their dwel- ling in Halifax which they had purchased about a year ago was completely lost by fire on Sunday afternoon. The family were all away at the time but neighbors salvaged some of tho down stairs furniture but their clothing and budding were a complete loss. Mr. and Mrs. Carruthers arrived in Cape Wolfe on Monday where Mrs. Csrruthors and their four young children will remain until living quarters can be procured. Mr. Carruthers returned on Tues- day.
