Well, we have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is we won’t be putting in any more orders for t-shirts this year, so come tous in September and we’ Il set you up. By the way, Andrew, thanks for the great job on the shirts. Good news is we will be extending the draw date for the 50/50 draw to March 30 instead of this Friday, so get your tickets-- they are going fast! Also, within the next three weeks we will be holding a pub; keep your eyes and ears open for details. We hada St. Patrick’s Day ‘‘get-together’’ and it went very well, thanks. I guess this is the last article this year, so thanks to everyone who was involved with the society and to all those who supported us. Good luck on exams and have a great summer!!

Want to hang out with someone totally different...like someone who doesn’t even speak the same language? The HOST Program offers you the opportunity to meet a newcomer to Canada, and to PEI. It’sa chance to help a newcomer learn English, explore the community, and learn the ins and outs of the system.

The Association for Newcomers is PEI’s immigrant serving agency and is seeking out HOST volunteers. Asa HOST volunteer you will be asked to share time and friendship for 2-3 hours per week. It’s a great way to experience another person’s culture while gaining valuable insight into your own. For more information please call 628-6009.
