Rustico Legion

Rustico cribbage teams are leading the Queens County Zone playoff for the championship, it was revealed after plav at Mt. Stewart Wednesday -night. The final games are scheduled for ‘he Rustico branch next Wednesday.

As the tournament stands now Rustico is ahead with 2,430 points, Mount Stewart is second with 1,909 and Charlottetown third with

1,894. Two teams represent each Legion branch taking part.

Catholic Library Committee Meets

The addition of about two dozen new books was noted at the meeting of the Committee for the Catholic Library and In- formation Centre held on March 20th. These included several volumes for the section on mar- riages and family life and four- teen new children’s books, such as Small Child’s Bible, illus- trated by Pelagie Doane, The Cottage At Bantry Bay, a story of an Irish family by Hilda Van Old Testament picture book by Maud and Miska Petersham.

Predicts Hike In Oil Demand

DARTMOUTH, N.S. (CP) — Murdo Macleod, superintendent of an Imperial Oil Ltd. refinery near here, predicted Monday that an increasing population will mean the processing of twice as much oil in the next 20 years.

Mr. Macleod told a_ service club that Canadian refineries pro- cess 700,000 barrels of crude oil a day now. Tne nation , would need 1,500,000 barrels processed
