CYITAWA, March %—-(Speciai)— Following his appeal to parliament last session for improved ferry facilities between Prince Edward Island and the mainland, W. Ches- ter S. McLure, Progressive-Con- servative member for Queen's made a vigorous plea in the House oiE Commons afternoon for ferry connections between Borden and Torrnentine which will live up to the letter and spirit of the confederation pact.
“What we should have and what We are entitled to have," Mr. Mc- Lure told the House, "is a su er- highway from Borden. to C ar- lottetown by the shortest route. This highway was actually started by the Bennett Government in 1984 and more than two miles act.- ualiy built. '
