The Fire Fiend. Manrqverrn, Mich., May 22. Full details from Lake Linden state that fully 2000 people suffered from the fire. One man was burnt to death. Norwica, Conn., May 22. The Mills of the Reade Paper Company was burnt to-day ; loss, $70,000. A Customs House Burglarized. Barnurst, May 21. The custom house and savings bank here was entered by burglars last might, the safe blown open and the cash drawer containing about $500 carried off. No clue can be had as to the identity of the burglars, who were undoubtedly professionals.

The new racing yacht Thistle on her trip from the Clyde to Cowes during the gale of Friday, rescued three men belonging to the steamer Harkaway, which had foundered. Sixteen lives were lost when the steamer went down.

O'Brien's Injuries.
Nracara Fatus, May 22. Mr. O’Brien kept his bed all day under advice of physicians. A stone thrown at him in Toronto struck hiim on the left side, and it is feared he will be confined to his bed some days.
