Sir,—I notice in your issue of the 24th inst. a letter, purporting to be from me, stating that I purchased a ticket at Souris for Five Houses station, end was ordered by the Con- ductor at Selkirk Station to get off, as the train did not stop at Five Houses Station.

Now, Mr. €ditor, I deny ever haviag writ- ten the letter, or of instructing any person to write it forme, In fact | never saw it till it appeared in your paper, but I believe it was written by an impe srtin ent, mischief-making busybody who is Postmaster at Souris.

L purchased the ticket at Sourisfor Five Houses Station, but | got off the train at Sel- kirk Station of m¥ own accord, to suit my own convenicuce, and I deny that the ¢ ‘onductor ordered me off the train at that Station; and [ believe that, had I stopped on the train, Conductor Scott, who is one of the most obliging Co-ductors on the road, would have let me off at Five Houses.
